Growing up in Scottsdale, AZ, was not a happy experience for Sir Queen JET. Neither of her parents was a happy person, and their unhappiness impacted her own. “I’m an empath, so I tend to absorb the emotions of those around me,” the singer explains. “I think that deep down, there was a joy in me yearning to get out, but it was not the right time.”
