Greetings Kinksters,
As we step into 2025, we find ourselves navigating a political climate that feels more volatile and divided than ever before. History has shown that when conservative leadership takes the reins, the effects inevitably trickle down to marginalized communities, including our local kink circles. These challenges remind us of the critical importance of solidarity—working together, showing up for one another, and fostering spaces where everyone feels seen, supported, and celebrated. At PROUD & Kinky, we’re committed to being a cornerstone of that effort. From free community programming to intentionally affordable events, our mission remains rooted in accessibility and connection. In this issue, don’t miss our community directory at the back—a curated resource to help you find and engage with fellow kink groups, upcoming events, and vital resources. Together, we can navigate these turbulent times and keep our community thriving.

This issue proudly highlights the incredible work of Las Vegas-based artist Cig Neutron. Cig is a true creative force, blending his talents as an SFX makeup artist, sculptor, painter, musician, and filmmaker into a singular, unmistakable artistic vision. His work has been featured across a variety of mediums, from television and movies to music videos and more. Horror enthusiasts might recognize Cig from his standout performances on Syfy’s Face Off, where he made it to the finale of Season 7 and went on to win the coveted title of All-Star Champion in Season 11. Cig’s boundary-pushing creations have also graced the stage of Dragula and numerous other projects that celebrate the weird and wonderful.
For those looking to dive deeper into the world of SFX makeup and sculpting, Cig shares his expertise through workshops at Slonina Art’s Space, which is a fantastic opportunity to learn from one of the best in the industry. Don’t miss your chance to explore the mind of this visionary artist in this issue and perhaps even pick up some inspiration of your own along the way.
This issue is bursting with color and community, featuring vibrant photo spreads from the PROUD & Kinky Stage at the 2024 Las Vegas PRIDE Festival. These snapshots capture the energy, diversity, and celebration of queer and kink-positive expression. We’re also diving into important mental health resources with a guide to finding kink-friendly and SWer-friendly therapists—a crucial tool for navigating wellness in our community.
You’ll find an insightful piece from Mr. Las Vegas Leather, Topher, exploring the rich history of the leather scene, alongside a spotlight on the members of The Cathedral Collective and their incredible contributions. Kandi Kween adds some lighthearted flair with a charming article about the art of stage kittening, while two personal narratives bring fresh perspectives to the page: one from a kinkster rediscovering their place in the scene, and another from a traveling performer reflecting on their experience at the Sin City Burlesque Festival.
And yes, it’s that time of year again—nominations are open for the 2025 Las Vegas Leather titles! If you know someone deserving of recognition, we encourage you to submit their name, reasons for nominating them, and contact information to Hello@proudandkinky.com. PROUD & Kinky proudly sponsors four titles: Mr. Las Vegas Leather, Las Vegas Bootblack, Las Vegas Puppy, and the open-ended Person of Leather title, which can be tailored to honor the nominee’s unique identity within the community. Let’s celebrate those who make our community stronger and brighter!
