Liquid Red Las Vegas Celebrates a Decade of Kink, Creativity, and Community

In the fall of 2024, Liquid Red Las Vegas, a semi-monthly, LGBTQ+ inclusive kink-themed event, celebrated its milestone 10th anniversary. Since its debut in 2014 at “The End,” a zombie apocalypse-themed bar off Spring Mountain, the event has become a staple of Las Vegas’s alternative nightlife scene. Originally launched as part of a goth night, Liquid Red has grown into a traveling immersive experience that continues to evolve and expand across the country.
Over the past decade, Liquid Red has taken place at a variety of notable venues throughout Las Vegas, including The Lexi, Sinwave, Artifice, Backstage Bar & Billiards, The Usual Place, Sahara Event Center, Artisan, The Nerd, Sahara Lounge, Stateside Lounge, and The Bent Inn.

A National Movement
In addition to its Vegas roots, Liquid Red has expanded to several sister events nationwide. Liquid Red Kink Ball Detroit will mark its own 10-year anniversary in the fall of 2025, while Liquid Red Kink Ball St. Louis held its inaugural event in May 2025. While the Las Vegas editions occur every month or two, the out-of-state events are held annually, offering a unique opportunity for the kink and alt-culture communities to come together.
Each event features an eclectic mix of entertainment and interactive experiences, including burlesque performances, fetish shows, shibari rope demonstrations, magic acts, comedy, sideshow spectacles, and curated fashion shows spotlighting independent alternative designers. Artist vendors, live DJs, costume contests, and immersive play spaces round out the experience. One of the event’s standout fashion contributors is Dan Miga Designs, a custom latex fashion brand prominently featured at Liquid Red events nationwide.

A Decade of Celebration
To commemorate its 10th anniversary, Liquid Red Las Vegas hosted a special celebration honoring the many performers, models, and creatives who have helped shape the event over the years. The evening featured an awards ceremony, and attendees received limited-edition 10th anniversary stickers. VIP guests enjoyed a special human buffet performance featuring burlesque star Neon, while past performers and models were gifted commemorative enamel pins.
The anniversary show featured a diverse lineup of performers and artists, including:
- Master Lily & Sasha D’Light (Detroit): Latex vac-cube demonstration
- Saint Anique stage shows
- Death by Shimmy Bellydance
- Gypse Couture Runway fashion show
- DJ Freaky Kiki
- Patrick from SAKE: Shibari rope demonstration
- Vegaskat Novelties: Wheel and fetish furniture installation
- Crimson Falls: Live body painting
The evening was hosted by Vegas Daddy and SheDevil Taz, with the awards ceremony emceed by Megan Halo, founder of Liquid Red.
The Vision Behind Liquid Red
Founder Megan Halo is the creative force behind Liquid Red. She curates the stage shows, produces the fashion showcases, coordinates vendors, designs the advertising, handles social media, and occasionally takes the mic to host. Her professional background in graphic design, web development, and fetish modeling laid the groundwork for her event production career, which began with her involvement in the now-retired Exoticon Detroit, a weekend-long kink event that concluded in 2014.
In addition to producing events, Megan operates Liquid Red, a gothic accessory and lingerie brand that appears at weekly Las Vegas pop-ups, including Area 15’s Block Party, First Friday, Proud & Kinky events, and various goth nights produced by Kounter Attack. The brand also travels to events in other states, including Detroit’s iconic Leland City Club, Midsummer Scream in Long Beach, and Wasteland Weekend in California. Products are available online at www.shopliquidred.com.
