Queer Crush: Lesbian Porn from Actual Queer Women

QueerCrush.com, a new lesbian studio run entirely by queer women, aims to show the world how queer women and Sapphic nonbinary folks actually like to fuck. A joint venture between Vegas-based performers Electra Rayne (owner/director) and Dahlia Von Knight (head of production), QueerCrush launched last year and has now produced over fifty scenes with a focus on authenticity and diversity–as well as entertainment.

Inspired by the lack of porn available that spoke to her wife, founder Electra Rayne created QueerCrush to make content that reflects the sex she has in her personal life. Specifically, Electra noticed a lack of quality toy-focused content and studios that showcase sincere, genuine connections between performers who truly like each other. “It’s really important to me that we capture real connection and chemistry on set, exactly as it really happens,” said Electra, “which is why we have performers choose their own partners and whatever they want to do in their scenes.” Electra added that these scenes are completely unscripted and unedited unless performers request something be removed. “We leave in check-ins, lube usage, bloopers, and all sorts of things. Communication during sex is SO important, and we want to reflect that reality in our content.” Luna Storm, a BBW performer who recently shot for the site, said of her experience with QueerCrush: “I love that we got to pick our own partners and that the connection was really authentic. We were able just to have a great time and explore each other. The entire experience was super chill, and I can’t wait to work with QueerCrush again!”

Before every QueerCrush scene, the performers and crew sit down together for an interview, where they discuss topics like how they met, toy and position preferences, and how/when they realized they’re queer. The interviews release on the website every Monday, and the corresponding sex scene the following Friday.

Instead of focusing on one specific “look” or type of model, as many adult sites do, QueerCrush prioritizes diversity, hiring performers of different ages, races, body sizes, and experiences within the industry. The site is also trans-inclusive. “I’m so proud to be a part of such an inclusive queer company that is truly changing things in the industry,” wrote producer Dahlia Von Knight, “and seeing real chemistry and excitement during our scenes is such a warm feeling.”

To allow them to be their authentic selves on camera, QueerCrush has performers choose their own wardrobe and makeup (including the option to skip makeup entirely) and do whatever they want in their scenes. Beyond bikinis and lingerie sets, popular scenes have had performers wearing pajamas, Halloween costumes, formal evening attire, and cargo pants with Doc Marten boots. Models choose for themselves what actions they’d like to do in their scenes, and are never asked to do uncomfortable positions, things they don’t enjoy, or anything fake–including orgasms. “QueerCrush is queer porn at its absolute finest!” wrote veteran performer Casey Calvert, who also directs for Lust Cinema. “My experience working with them was incredible. Every step of the way, I was encouraged to be myself and create content in a way that felt true and genuine to me and my sexuality. I can’t wait to work with them again!”

Despite launching just nine months ago, QueerCrush has already made waves, with a scene selected for screening at the 2023 San Francisco Indie Porn Film Festival. The site has also earned sponsorships from Sliquid Lube and Peepshow Toys–patrons can use promo code “queercrush” on either company’s website for a discount, with a portion of their purchase price going to support the site.
