Summer is heating up, and so is our kink! As the sun shines brighter, so does our excitement for the upcoming Las Vegas PRIDE Festival on Saturday, October 12, 2024, in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas. This year promises to be a spectacular celebration of love, diversity, and community, and we hope to see many of you there, proudly wearing your kink attire, waving your flags, and sharing in the joy of being unapologetically ourselves.

In this issue, we’re excited to bring you a collection of articles that reflect the richness and diversity of our community. As always, our mission at PROUD & Kinky is to represent and celebrate the alternative queer lifestyle, and we believe this month’s content does just that.

First, we’re delving into the world of Sex and Cannabis. With growing interest, legalization, and acceptance of cannabis for both medical and recreational use, we’re exploring how it intersects with our sexual experiences. From enhancing pleasure to providing pain relief, cannabis is becoming a significant player in our intimate lives.

We also have a compelling piece on kink after 50, celebrating the liberation and exploration that comes with age. This article addresses the unique challenges and triumphs of engaging in kink later in life, offering insights and tips for those looking to embrace their desires with confidence and creativity.

Inclusivity is a cornerstone of our community, and we’re proud to feature an article on “Increasing Access” within the kink world. This piece highlights the importance of making our spaces and practices accessible to everyone, ensuring that all members of our community can participate fully and safely.

In another important discussion, we tackle the topic of decriminalizing sex work. This article examines the legal and social implications of sex work and advocates for the rights and safety of sex workers, shedding light on an often misunderstood and marginalized segment of our community.

We’re thrilled to feature Johnny Donnavan, a dynamic and talented kink performer, in this issue. Johnny’s performances are not just about entertainment but about pushing boundaries and challenging norms. Get to know Johnny better and be inspired by his journey and artistry.

Additionally, we’re delighted to welcome and celebrate the four new leather titleholders proudly pictured on our cover. These individuals have shown exceptional dedication and passion for the queer kinky community, and their stories are highlighted in this issue. Read more about their paths to title holding and what it means to them to represent our vibrant community, and how they propose to improve our local community.

Finally, we encourage you to keep an eye out for future PROUD & Kinky events. We’re constantly working to create spaces and opportunities for our community to come together, learn, and celebrate. Stay tuned for updates and announcements on events that you won’t want to miss.

Thank you for being part of the PROUD & Kinky community. Your support and participation are what makes our community so special. Here’s to a fabulous upcoming Las Vegas PRIDE Festival and to the continued celebration of our diverse, beautiful, and kinky selves.
