Letter from the Editor

By Jennifer Howe

Dear Kinksters,

There’s something electric about Vegas in the late summer, the nights stretch a little longer, the sweat feels a little sexier, and the community comes alive with boldness, curiosity, and connection. This issue is our love letter to that energy. Whether you’re a leather-clad veteran of the scene or just starting to explore your kinky, creative self, we’re here to hold space, hype you up, and hand you the lube.

On our cover this time is none other than Zoe DuBois, fresh off her championship win at PrideStyle Pro Wrestling. In our main feature, we go behind the scenes of this wildly popular, queer-inclusive wrestling phenomenon that’s turning Main Street into a battleground of body slams and glitter.

We’re also thrilled to welcome Miles Fallon, the adult entertainment star who’s just relocated to Vegas and is already making waves (and more than a few fantasies come true). In an exclusive interview, Miles gets real about navigating fame, authenticity, and what it means to find sexual liberation on and off camera.

Speaking of liberation, if you weren’t at our Naughty Playground party on June 20th, don’t worry: we’ve got you covered with a full recap. From wax play and aerial rope suspensions to crowd-spanking and bathtub posing, this event was a love letter to our queer, kinky, and wildly talented community. The vibes were unmatched, and we’re already planning what’s next (spoiler alert: it’s coming Oct 11—more on that below).

We are also revisiting our series, “5 Questions With…,” where we profile four incredible Vegas-based artists. Get to know Ricky Rush, Kitty Gore, Saint Anique, and Jonny. Their answers are as bold and unpredictable as their art.

We’re also proud to feature a story close to the heart of the local scene: the 10th anniversary of Liquid Red. This iconic brand and event series has been keeping the fire of Vegas fetish culture alive for a decade, and we honor the founders, the parties, and the legacy that continues to shape our scene.

In lighter (and slightly stickier) news, congrats are in order for Parker Woods, crowned Master Bator of Season 4 of The Great BateWorld BateOff! Our feature dives into the cheeky, community-driven world of competitive edging, stamina tests, and solo showmanship. It’s everything you didn’t know you needed until now.

We’re also revisiting a story that sparked conversation in our very first issue back in Summer/Fall 2022: The Fuckball Rolls to Town (https://proudandkinky.com/the-fuckball-rolls-into-town/). In this issue, we publish a bold and essential follow-up: “The Fuckball was fucked so hard it split”, penned by author, artist, performer, and provocateur Polly Superstar. In this deeply personal and sharply critical piece, Polly dives into the complex realities of consent, power, and abuse within sex-positive spaces. It’s a powerful reminder that even our most liberated scenes require accountability, care, and continued dialogue. We’re honored to feature Polly’s voice as we grow collectively toward more honest, consensual, and sustainable community practices.

Also in this issue, we’re proud to share a commanding editorial by Mistress Marie, who opens up about her journey to finding empowerment through kink and sex work. With honesty and grace, she reflects on the strength it takes to step into your power, reclaim your body, and define your own value on your own terms. Her story is a testament to the resilience and radiance of femme dominance, and an inspiration to anyone navigating their own liberation.

As always, the back of this issue is your go-to community directory, listing local sex-positive organizations, events, healthcare resources, and more. Whether you’re seeking a rope jam, a consent workshop, or a play party, this guide is built to connect and empower.
