Wishing all the kinksters in Las Vegas and beyond a Happy 2024!

Looking back on 2023, PROUD & Kinky was able to accomplish some major goals. We dipped our toes into sponsoring Leather Titles for Las Vegas, and I think it has been a success to have community leaders step into these roles.

I appreciate you being here, participating in the community, and watching us grow. Looking ahead to 2024, we are planning to continue our BDSM community events and programming, as well as the adult area at the Las Vegas PRIDE festival.

This issue features the photography of Mr. Pam, a Las Vegas-based photographer and pornographer. Whose body of work features queer bodies and kinky scenes. We also highlight the musical talents of Sir Queen Jet.

There is a beautifully written piece about the definition of queer love and an interesting perspective on the fetishization of incarceration. Plus, there is a review of the production of Abandon, which ran at the Las Vegas Theater during October and November.

I hope you were able to make it out to the Las Vegas PRIDE Festival this year at Craig Ranch Park. The PROUD & Kinky area was bigger and better this year. We had more people checking out our little dirty corner of PRIDE. The dungeon was triple the size of the 2022 area, and the entertainment was even more queer and kinky. If you missed the festival, we recap much of the PROUD & Kinky stage activities here in this issue.

It’s time again to get your nominations in for 2024 PROUD & Kinky Leather Titleholders. Nominations are now open. You can nominate a community member by sending an email to Hello@Proudandkinky.com.

There are four Las Vegas Leather titles that we are seeking nominations for: Mr. Las Vegas Leather, Las Vegas Person of Leather, Las Vegas Pup of Leather, and Las Vegas Bootblack. The Las Vegas Person of Leather will receive a more specific title characteristic of the individual, such as Mx. / Mrs. / Miss / Trans person of leather / Leatherboy / or whatever they feel fits them best. Check out page 35 for more details.

We’re always looking for writers, photographers, artists, and collaborators for PROUD & Kinky Magazine and events. We wouldn’t be able to host events without the help of volunteers and community members. Please reach out if you’re interested in volunteering your time and talents. We would love to get to know you.
