PROUD & Kinky threw its second BDSM play party on Thursday, June 29th, at Starbase, where the main rule of the night was no pants allowed. There was a wonderful turnout of a diverse group of queer kinksters and allies. DJ Toast kept the evening lively and upbeat with their phenomenal DJ skills.

Starbase is a gorgeous, black, queer-owned event space with its many themed rooms playing host to the night’s delicious debauchery. One of my favorite rooms was the wood and mirror paneled room with a spanking bench and photobooth inside, so attendees could capture a kinky moment or scene to remember the evening. My second favorite room was a 60’s mod-inspired room with blue couches and a circular archway of red and blue lights with a spanking bench underneath. It was quite the kinky portal. Folks could lounge and enjoy conversations along the room’s edges while enjoying the views of the spanking benches in the center. There was also a large room with couches and a St. Andrew’s Cross lit only in moody red lighting. A western-themed room played host to an abundant display of all the raffle items just off the main room with a bootblack stand, stage, and spacious dance floor.

One of the features of the night was a sexy stage show featuring the talents of Miss Las Vegas Leather 2023, Mayven Missbehavin’, Neon, Lex Lunacy, Kermit, Jupiter Lightingstorm, and Lady Coquine. Lady Coquine opened the show and got the crowd’s attention with a parody number from the musical Cabaret. Mayven, Lex, and Neon kept the crowd’s attention with sensuous strip teases as the excited audience generously showered them with dollar bills. There was even a hot booty shaking contest that had the audience in quite the ruckus. The two finalists brought out their finest twerking skills, and both were declared winners and bounced away from the contest with luxury bongs from My Bud Vase.

The final act of the evening was a special fetish scene that involved a leather cage dangling in the center of the room from the thirty-foot ceiling. Kermit, clad in a pair of black thigh-high stockings and a long black frock, pushed and flogged the demo bottom, Ria, who was suspended in the leather cage two feet off the ground. The cage would rotate in a circular motion as Kermit delivered blows from an oversized leather flogger. My favorite part of the scene is when Kermit would step up onto the cage and hang and swing the latticed bondage device using only their body weight.
